Charlesworth Martial Arts About us: Charlesworth Family Martial Arts was founded in 1993 by Chief Instructor Jason Charlesworth. Jason is currently a 5th Dan Black Belt and Team Manager of I.S.K.A. UK, CFMA. Julie his wife and ‘side kick’ is an Assistant Chief Instructor and has accomplished her 4th Dan Black Belt. Despite being told at the age of six that he may never walk again because of a Perthes disease, which is a childhood disorder affecting the head of the femur/hip bone.
Jason has trained in Boxing, Tae Kwon Do and Wing Chun. Over many successful years of teaching the sport and gaining world recognition Jason was added to the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2000 and again in 2001 for his contributions to martial arts. Julie was added to the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2000 & 2001.
Not only has Jason coached Julie, he has also trained many British - English - European and World Champions in the entire major organisations such as I.S.K.A.-W.AK.O. - I.A.K.S.A – W.K.A. and W.U.M.A.
